Rosemary Bayer
Up date on State Government

State Senator Rosemary Bayer is serving her first term representing District 12, stretching from Beverly Hills, Bingham Farms, Franklin, and Bloomfield Township; through Pontiac; Auburn Hills, Keego Harbor, Sylvan Lake and into North Oakland County including the Townships of Independence, Oakland, Addison, Oxford & Orion and their towns and villages.

She serves on the Senate Environmental Quality Policy Committee as Minority Vice-Chair. She also sits on the Senate Appropriations Committee, serving on the Appropriation subcommittees of Transportation, Environmental Quality and K-12 and Michigan Department of Education, where she is also the Minority Vice-Chair.  

Before pursuing public office, Senator Bayer had a successful career in information technology, first as a computer engineer and later as a business leader.  She co-founded the Michigan Council of Women in Technology, a nonprofit which provides STEM support for girls and women around Michigan.  Rosemary eventually chose to leave the private sector and launch ardentCause L3C — a small business dedicated to helping nonprofits with information technology needs.

Senator Bayer is a long-time resident of District 12. In fact, her daughter, Erin who is now a Microbiology Post-doc, is a proud graduate of Lake Orion High school.  Senator Bayer currently resides in Beverly Hills with her husband John.
