Shoes for Kids

November 11th, 2023

The Cause

Over the past twenty-four years "Shoes for Kids" has provided for over 10,500 Clarkston children and the community has generously donated over $300,000. The Rotary Club of Clarkston greatly appreciatives the support shown by the volunteers such as yourself, both in commitment and donations.

The Event

The 2023 "Shoes for Kids" will be held on Saturday, November 11th, at Renaissance High School, 6558 Waldon Road.

We greatly appreciate your continued support and volunteering in the past.

We have over 130 volunteer time slots throughout Saturday in two hour increments. There are various assignments including chair positions. After the event, 25 volunteers will be needed after 3:00 PM to help re-box the inventory, move tables and chairs.

The Clarkston Optimist Club provide new socks through their "Opti-Socks" program. The Clarkston Area Lions Club will offer "Project Kidsight" free eye exams. Local dentists will be donating toothbrushes and toothpaste.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be making a special early visit to Clarkston. We greatly appeciate the efforts of Melvin and Alaina Hawley for their commitment. Photos with Santa will also be available to all attending families. Photos will be taken by Bertakis Products (a local professional photographer).

This is a great opportunity for high school students or others needing Community Service Volunteer Hours

All volunteers are asked to sign-in at the volunteer check-in table least ten minutes before the beginning of their shift. A brief orientation and walk-through will be offered before beginning each shift.
